Starlinger introduces a new size film recycling machine – the recoSTAR dynamic 145

Starlinger company, the manufacturer of recoSTAR dynamic machines, has introduced a new size machine in early 2018 – the recoSTAR dynamic 145 – that is specially designed for a capacity range of ~1,000 kg/h. in addition to the first three lines, which are under installation, orders for additional machines of this type have been received by the company.

Starlinger recycling technology added a seventh machinery size to its well-established recycling line recoSTAR dynamic. The company introduced the new size due to increased demand for a throughput of approx. 1,000 kg/h. Till recently, the recoSTAR dynamic 125 and 165 were available (the numbers indicate the screw diameter in millimeters), which were slightly under- or oversized for this capacity. recoSTAR dynamic 145 fills this gap as the line is designed for approx. 1 ton of regranulate, offering an optimal cost-benefit ratio that renders it very attractive also from a commercial consideration.

The recoSTAR dynamic can be used in a variety of applications such as industrial or post-consumer waste, humid or heavily printed material. The machine is built with the SMART feeder, a central component, which besides drying and condensing the material provides a homogeneous mixing ratio.

Recyclers of the post-consumer and/or heavily printed film also operate the highly efficient degassing unit C-VAC, placed after the filter that can be controlled independently of the main extruder. The melt surface, increased by 300 %,  efficiently removes gases and prevents air from being trapped inside the regranulate, an important feature for film recyclers to control the higher formation of gases during the extrusion process due to ink, humidity, and contamination. Additionally, the rECO package of the recoSTAR dynamic saves costs, protects the environment and 10 % reduction in energy consumption.
