Sirmax, a leading international supplier of plastic compounds and resins, ranked 2nd among the independent PP compounders in Europe has signed a contract for the construction of the second new production plant of plastic material compounds in Kutno (Poland). The construction of the new plant in Kutno is scheduled to start in August 2018 and the start-up of production in the second quarter of 2019.
Sirmax, headquartered in Cittadella (Pd), is the plastics multinational and 5th European producer of polypropylene compound and of engineering plastic compound for the automotive, domestic appliances, electronics, power tools sectors and appliances for home, furniture, and construction sectors.
Sirmax produces a wide range of compounds based on PP, ABS, ASA, PC, PC/ABS, POM, PA 6-66, PPO, PBT and PS. New plant will produce three categories of compounds: EPC technopolymers based on polyamides, ABS and polycarbonate; PP LFT and PP FR, polypropylene reinforced with long glass fiber and self-extinguishing polypropylene, and thermoplastic elastomers (TPV, TPE, SEBS, SBS).
Sirmax has its production facilities in Italy, Poland, Brasil and USA, which are equipped with 31 twin-screw extruders, with outputs from 30 to 4000 kg/h. Sirmax SpA expects a turnover of over 300 million Euros for the year 2018.
Sirmax’s first Kutno plant, inaugurated in July 2006, currently produces 80,000 tons of polypropylene compound per year for the automotive and household appliance sectors.
