On Aug. 5, 2016, Processing Technologies International LLC invested $10 million in expanding its Aurora headquarters facility.
It was in late 2015 when the project was announced by the firm. It is expected to bring an increase in the capacity of the plant by 50%. Also, it will augment the plant’s manufacturing and office space by 40,000 square feet for world-leading high-performance sheet extrusion machinery manufacturer.
The company may introduce a total of 40 new jobs. At present, it has almost 80 employees, with its manufacturing area covering 60,000 square feet.
PTi president, Dana Hanson, “Our business has hit record levels the last several years and our products are being well received throughout the packaging markets in North America. We are planning for a sustained period of growth that will require expanded manufacturing resources.”
The growth and new competencies will be emphasized at K 2016 (Hall 13/B91-10) to be held from Oct. 19 to Oct. 26 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The new building will have a feed screw testing and development center, an extended technology development center, and an expanded dryer-less twin-screw sheet extrusion demonstration center. The project may be accomplished by November 2016.
