Recently, Magna International Inc. celebrated the opening of its Magna Exteriors Queretaro facility. The new facility has been opened in Queretaro, Mexico, and is aimed at manufacturing of automotive exterior products. Queretaro Governor Francisco Dominguez Servien along with other local, state and federal government members joined the company professionals to hail the occasion.
The new advanced injection molding and robotic paint line facility are spread over an area of 290,000 sq. ft.It will hire around 600 people and provide molded and painted parts like bumpers, rocker panels, and fascias to global automakers.
President of Magna Exteriors,Grahame Burrow said, “On behalf of Magna, I want to thank the city and state of Queretaro for their ongoing support and collaboration on this project.” He added, “They have helped make it possible for us to come here and establish this first-class team and world-class operation, and we are excited for the opportunity to support our customers from this new facility.”
It was in 1991 when Magna developed its first facility in Puebla, Mexico. At present, Magna runs 20 manufacturing units, along with one engineering & product development center, and nearly 25,000 employees in Mexico.
