Kosme’s stretch blow-moulding machines, so far, consisted of four, six, seven or eight cavities. For small output, Kosme is now expanding its portfolio with the inclusion of two new systems: the rotary machines KSB 3R Compact and 4R Compact. Later on 4R Compact will replace the KSB 4R from the standard series.
Beverage producers can save up to 35 % air and five % energy with the use of the new KSB 3R and reach with three cavities o machine the same performance as a linear machine with four cavities.
Containers in different sizes between 0.15 and 3.0 litres with a neck finish diameter of up to 38 millimetres can be produced with the help of the two new stretch blow-moulding machines from the Compact Class.
Beverage company can produce 6,600 of 1.0-litre containers in one hour with the use of KSB 3R Compact machine, i.e. 2,200 per station. In case, the producer has to use a corresponding linear machine, a four-cavity system would have to be chosen in order to achieve the same output. This shows that the system would need one blow-moulding station less and would consume less energy and air.
Overall, each of the latest-generation Kosme’s rotary machines consumes relatively small amounts of compressed air as they are fitted with the Air Wizard Plus compressed-air recovery system. The infrared linear oven is also highly energy efficient. The machines have heating zone adjustment feature and a small heating compartment providing individualized adjustment options that can offer around 35 percent of air and five percent of energy saving.
Kosme family demonstrates savings in material, media and space requirement and yet give enhanced performance.
