Kiefel celebrates ground-breaking for modern production halls at Kiefel, Germany

Kiefel GermanyKiefel GmbH, a company belonging to the Brückner Group, Siegsdorf, is expanding its production area with the construction of the new Kiefel Education Centre at the parent company in Freilassing and the new training hub. The new training hub would contribute to building up of Kiefel for future growth, similar to the warehouse and pre-assembly areas do. The ground-breaking celebration for the construction of two new assembly halls was held on April 9, 2018. The expansion is scheduled to complete in 2018.

Helmut Strecha, Head of Production, said, “The two new halls will house state-of-the-art air-conditioned assembly areas for the construction and commissioning of systems for the processing of plastic films covering an area of approximately 2,600 square meters. These halls are designed for maximum flexibility. For example, electricity, compressed air and cooling water are supplied through floor channels at the facilities. In addition, two 12.5 tons hall cranes combined with the height of the halls ensure trouble-free loading and unloading of the machines. This expansion will enable the planned growth over the coming years at the Freilassing location.”

According to the Kiefel, the economic growth is expected to continue in the major markets in spite of the irritations on the world markets. Kiefel’s order intake continues to be high that has been structured into four divisions: Kiefel Packaging, Kiefel Automotive, Kiefel Medical and Kiefel Service.
