Clariant, a leading specialty chemicals company has opened up a new eCommerce shop for the customer in China. The portal which targets the small-and medium-sized buyers will be hosted on 1688, a B2B platform of Alibaba Group.
Online commerce is growing rapidly in China leaving behind other major economies due to acceptance of online shopping by Chinese customers. The growth momentum is maintained due to easy access to online transaction and full support for logistics delivery.
Clariant with the opening of the store is looking to reach more customers in outlying areas. This would help the company to meet the customer demand for its product and services and increase sales
Jan Kreibaum, Regional President of Clariant Greater China/South Korea says, “The e-marketplace in China is playing an increasingly important role within the overall economy and we believe this growth trend will continue,”
He also added, “By launching the flagship store, we strongly believe that Clariant is getting even closer to becoming a true China Insider – in China, for China.”
The product featured online will be plastics filaments for 3D printing, Masterbatches, Additives, Organic Pigments, and Desiccants. The product line would be of interest to buyers in industrial sectors as transportation, packaging, plastics processing, paints, and coatings.
To start with following brands would be sold: Hydrocerol chemical foaming agent, Remafin color masterbatches, Hostanox antioxidant, Locomont lubricating and nucleating agent, Graphtol and Hansa organic pigments, and Container Dri II desiccants. The company plans to introduce more products further.
