Bandera offers innovative system using PET recycled flakes to produce PET food grade rigid film

PET food grade rigid filmBandera, the leader in the worldwide extrusion market, offers an innovative solution to match perfectly with the consolidated twin screw extrusion technology (HVTSE) for a new PURe system to produce PET food grade rigid film from PET recycled flakes.

Bandera’s strong, innovative attitude and the ability to develop solutions to meet the market needs has made it an undisputed leader in the worldwide extrusion market.

Bandera developed a solution to meet the growing PET processing trend that is based on a consolidated technology (HVTSE). The tailor-made system (PURe) has empowered it with a pretreatment process to obtain super clean material, suitable for direct food contact.

The twin screw technology of Bandera, marketed for some time, indicating long-term reliability and higher performances in comparison to the conventional extrusion technologies.

It is presently available in the market, has a number of special features that include: less stress for the processed raw material, problem-free raw material feeding and dosing devices, better melt purification and power savings.

It has the easier operative management of the whole line, faster color and raw material switching (with no line stop), possibility to work up to 100% regrind material, problem-free raw material feeding and dosing devices, multiple raw material processable, and foam sheet production.

The cleaning efficiency of the Bandera system, based on the tests conducted, has been found to exceed the minimum requirements of EFSA and FDA. Bandera’s system of PET food grade rigid film for direct food contact can be produced with a recycled content up to 100%. FDA has issued the No Objection Letter for the combined system.

The new system is designed to meet the common output range through various models to meet the requirements of the packaging industry.
