Ampacet, a premier global provider of masterbatch and additive materials, services and solutions, starts two new color production lines, expands its Research and Development and sets up color labs in Dudelange, Luxembourg.
The two new color production lines, part of Ampacet’s long-term expansion plan, are scheduled to commence production in the second quarter of 2019. The two lines are designed with a focus on safety and ergonomics. Energy and water systems have been designed to have minimal environmental impact.
Out of the two lines, one line will be utilized for the production of engineering polymers to meet the market trends and customer needs. The two lines will help reduce lead times and increase flexibility for delivery of polyolefin-based color masterbatches.
Marcello Bergamo, Managing Director Ampacet Europe, said, “Our focus is to provide high quality services and innovative solutions to our customers while reducing our impact on the environment. The new lines are designed to support this goal. The company also has completed expansion of its European Research and Development center in Dudelange, Luxembourg, nearly doubling the size of the lab.”
Ampacet has planned to add a new injection molding machine and a blow molding machine to speed up color matching services. The company has installed the latest generation, single-stage full electric PET machine (ISBM machine) to produce a preform and a bottle in a single step leading to significant time savings, increased color service speed and improved onsite color matching services. It also provides highly precise carriage movements, for an excellent product finish as well as mold interchangeability that would help to increase the flexibility and nearly unlimited possibilities.
Ampacet also has acquired the newest xenon arc-based weathering device to reproduce actual solar radiation.
